Opening Day at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick will be the Spring Training season opener for the Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies. Featuring a celebration of Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community Day, also known as SRPMIC Day. 

The pre-game ceremony will include SRPMIC basket dancers, the National Anthem performed in the O’odham language by Miss Salt River, Sialik King . Salt River Council members will be in attendance with Council Members Cheryl Doka and Mikah Carlos throwing out the first pitch. Along the concourse Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community artists Raeann Brown, Alice Manuel, and August Wood will demonstrate traditional basketry and SRPMIC artist Dwayne Manuel will showcasing a live painting in the outfield concourse.
